I am reading Harry Potter these days. It is never too late to read Harry Potter, I hope.
If you are familiar with Harry Potter, every famous wizard/witch in the book is known for something unique to him or her. That is their personal signature.
Incidentally, this morning I was watching Virgil Abloh’s lecture to students at Harvard Design School back in 2017. On the second red slide, it read “What’s your signature”. In every industry but especially in the creative world, if you don’t have something special, then you are just another product coming out of an assembling line.
I especially like his ending. He said that in an era that is abundant in everything. You can find every excuse to live a comfortable life and let the days pass by. However, equally, you have every reason to step up and create something new and make a difference. The choice is in our hands.
See even for muggles like me, I want to create my own magic.
